leadershipLeadership is the ability to conceive a vision, “to see something that does not yet exist,” and then help lead people who also see reasons to share the vision. True leadership provides an opportunity where everyone has the same amount to gain by learning and demonstrating the same leadership being provided to them. Five steps of activity which can help cycle the habits of leadership:

 

1.) Have a VISION: Clearly see a desirable “future stay.”

2.) COMMUNICATE the vision.

3.) POSITIONING. Be the role model, live the vision, demonstrate the vision by example.

4.) MEASURE, COACH & REWARD. Provide feedback, help others improve, acknowledge success.

5.) MAINTAIN ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.

Adversity will always lurk in the midst of focused leadership & success. The ability to maintain absolute certainty comes from a vision that is consistently communicated, demonstrated, practiced, and measured by truth and results. TRUE; there may be points in history where people can attest, site events, or tell stories where in any given situation, the “leader” in the story or event is referred to a “natural born leader.”

While some people are lead to believe “leaders are born,” I’m here to attest… Leaders can be coached and taught to become leaders without relying on “birth given” talents. Leadership seems to be more “contagious” than “birth given.” So until someone can prove to me that “leaders are only born,” I’ll keep providing feedback, helping others improve and celebrate success from sharing a vision that is consistently measured by truth and results.
